Acoustic Series Models

The Acoustic Series models were built from 2007 to 2012.

The Acoustic Series models were counterparts to our cutaway/electric models and were built with no cutaway, no electronics and no pickguard. However, we did offer the option to have them built with onboard electronics.

The "model number" was designated by the shape abbreviation (GC, GA, GS, DN) and the first digit of the series it belonged to (3 for 300 series, 8 for 800 series, etc). As an example, a Grand Auditorium body shape built with 300 Series specs would be a GA3, and a Dreadnought body shape built with 700 Series specs would be a DN7.

Customers can still order a standard Taylor production model as a straight acoustic with no cutaway, no electronics, and no pickguard as an option from any authorized Taylor dealer. The model number will not include a "c" for cutaway or "e" for electronics, respectively. As an example, a 314 would be the modern equivalent of a GA3 today.
